2nd Life Haçienda 25: Meet the DJ’s

Trying to attract the attention of the DJ, shouldn’t be a problem for virtual clubbers in Second Life this weekend. On Sunday 26 August, DJ’s Peter Hook and Graeme Park will be available in person to chat with fans from around the world, as they join other clubbers on the reconstructed Haçienda dance-floor, at Urbis in Second Life. The music will be provided by DJ’s performing live at Sankeys in Manchester, part of an all night celebration of the city’s trailblazing Haçienda nightclub, streamed live into Second Life from 10pm-12am.

Between 10pm-12am, Peter Hook and Graeme Park will be on hand in real-life to answer questions posed to their avatar-selves, take part in the virtual party and swap t-shirts with fellow revelers, as part of a growing Second Life tradition. With limited numbers able to be in the Second Life venue at any one time, avatars will have a rare and unrivalled chance to go clubbing with their favourite Manchester musicians and turn a historic Sunday all-nighter, into a new era for clubbers, musos, gamers and Second Life enthusiasts.
