ahhh, glad to see this is waking it's sleeping head.
this article made me laugh. i see one band has a future (albeit not as bright but still productive and enjoyable) and another band that's a flash in the pan. wanna wager? but i digress. i just saw the 40 year incarnation of Yes and another supergroup 25 years past their expiration date, Asia, last night. and you know what? they each kicked ass. and while you need to appreciate the fan base for what it is, both bands know how to bury the hatchet (if for nothing less, the almighty $/£). steve howe pulled double duty for both bands. |

thanks for the post. I'm actually gonna buy both of these albums, but I think I'll like the Freebass better.

the best way to have an idea is to listen to their music. The both bands , anyway, are not so good than NO, of course. They are different too. I've been listening BL three times last week. The whole album...Well if i can say i was expecting a lot this album i can say too that i'd probably not buy it if it wasn't Barney new album... Am i clear enough?? It will be probably the same thing with Hooky FreeBAss... |

i gotta say, i was listening to Monaco this morning and maybe i got a little soft for Hooky, though i thought simultaneously, "twat".
if Freebass ever delivers, it's not even going to be as good as his previous decade's worth of work. i'm not saying that shit's stellar, but it sure is fun. kinda feel the same with Bad Lieutenant. to be honest, i'd have more enthusiasm with another Other Two album than either of these projects. |
