What a night! A Fantastic gig in a great venue.
Loads of Joy Division stuff. Great crowd First time I've seen 'em since 1989. It was worth the wait!! |

A signature performance from the Order. Mistakes-a-plenty and a PA with a resonant frequency just around the low-E (unbelievable!)
Inexplicably, Bernard managed to screw up temptation last night but was note perfect on Shadowplay !? What is he on? That's not to say it wasn't an incredible gig, it was. There's always something special about seeing New Order in Manchester. And what a rare bonus to hear the chords from Perfect Kiss seamlessly spun in to Blue Monday by Bernard (well, I say seamlessly but imagine Blue Monday being crowbarred open an TPK being shunted in by a 16-wheeler and you'll get the idea I f**kin loved it! I think Bernard pressed a wrong key to get those TPK chords! At least it does give us some hope for the future, that the chords have been put into the sequencers!

From where I was standing it looked like he played them manually Tim. I did like those new samples that Phil was dropping in too. |
