I aint right good at reviews but here goes!
New Order were amazing!!!! They played an excellent set with songs from all eras including a few Joy Division numbers! The encore was class and sampling Kylie for Blue Monday was top. Keith Allen made an appearance on world in motion which went down a treat!
did i mention New Order were amazing!

Best gig i've been to!

Twas a close thing, it may well have been the best New Order gig but unfortunatley my memory of it is a bit fuzzy. Far too much to drink. If you could point me in the direction of a proper review and pics that would be good.

Why was Move trumpeted as Manchester`s first music festival?.Have people forgotten the Cities In The Park 2 day festival in Heaton Park back in 1991?.I was there and saw Electronic and had a great time down the front watching Happy Mondays headline on the Sunday night when they were at their peak.

I thought the Doves and Elbow were both excellent.

New Order were very good too but I do think they were better at the Apollo last year.

Was dissapointed they didn't do Ceremony but was fookin made up that they did Digital!

All in all a quality day out.

I had a ticket for this event but unfortunately I had been on the water of life the night before and did in fact make it to sunny manchester but only to the trafford centre. I felt so ill i couldn't be bothered going to the festival in the end. I'm glad to hear that they were better last year though as I was there at the Appollo on the Thursday and they were awesome.

Sorry to disappoint Roonaldo but they were much better at the Move festival than they were on the Thursday (October 4th 2001) at the Apollo. Now the Friday night was a different affair!

I'd say the Move gig was the best of the past year, if only for that Love Vig opener when we all expected Crystal.

Even better than the Olympia comeback which, for these ears, started faaaar too sloooowly.
